Forgotten But Not Gone
These Mudman watches were first introduced in 2008 and some were sold for a while at the usual big box stores.. But, now they are no longer in the USA G-Shock catalog. They are, however, part of the current Asian line-up and still show up on eBay at very reasonable prices. These alternative colorways are as fresh as any that Casio offers here (& now) and the dual chronographs are a very useful feature

Bapex Type 3 – A Bathing Ape Watch
It’s a Rolex Daytona layout with a distinctive Bape logo and slogan. The engine is Japanese (or so some other bloggers say) and the price is around $575 (44,100 yen). Bape’s watches are collectible limited editions and usually go up in value. The picture gallery includes the Rolex watches that Bape replicated. Also in the gallery are some pictures of other recent Bape releases
UPDATE: October 2011 – A Submariner layout BAPE called the Type 1, to be released in December 2011 has been added to the gallery along with an actual gold Rolex. This blogger is curious what Rolex thinks about these watches – I mean, it’s not like it’s a Rolex X Bape collab..
