Red Bull F1 Racing Team X Casio Edifice LE

Red Bull Edifice EF-565RBJ Mark Webber
We just can’t get enough of those limited editions and Casio knows it. This time the offering is from their Edifice division and the product is stunning. Integrated into the classic design are wonderful high tech materials and racing fashion colors and shapes that will warm the hearts of all formula one racing fans.

A classic beauty!
The bezel and parts of the multi-layered dial are carbon fiber. The case, screw back and band are stainless steel. The crown is screw down. The sub-dials are designed to emulate racing gauges and are rimmed in red and filled in blue; the team’s colors. True to limited edition tradition, the fiery Red Bull Racing logo rocks the center of the dial.

What makes this watch so desirable?
It is rock solid. The display is all analog – even the date and the 1/100 second stopwatch. It’s huge; 45mm, but not unreasonably thick; 13mm and hefty at 177 grams. The case it comes in looks like an award display, but we’ll give Casio that one since the watch is a top prize winner. This is not your fathers digital-razzle-dazzle-gizmo-galore resin wrist computer – but rather, a straight-forward beautifully finished conservative watch

And, finally, there’s the price – a bargain at just over $400.

Japanese market only..
This is another case of, “Japan gets all the good stuff.” Of course, this is the good news for collectors who know how to “work” the Japanese dealers. If you want one, don’t wait too long. This product goes on sale July 1, 2011.

Shout outs..
Congratulations to Sebastian Vettel for placing at the top and Mark Webber, placing third (2010 season) – making them the best team in the sport. And, kudos to Renault for their kick ass engines, despite the fact that they are French.
