G-Shock – One of the coolest watches G-Shock has ever produced is available again in limited numbers at casio.com, eBay, and amazon.com. The GA110GB-1A is all black case and strap with flashy gold hands, and dial components. The added benefit that this will become a collectors item will make Dad very happy to get one of these.
Tendence at watchismo.com – At the surprising “out-the-door” price of $180, the Tendence Sport black/silver model is a remarkable deal on a rather stunning fashion watch that features a uniquely deep, sculptured dial with hour markings that “pop” and ribbed case profile and strap that demands attention. It’s a fashionable 50mm wide, sports screw-down crown, stainless steel body, mineral crystal and silicone band construction with water resistance to 330 feet. Dad would love this one.
TX – The T3C051 is more than just a great watch – it’s a digital compass and that makes it handy in ways Dad hasn’t even discovered yet. Just so you understand why the price does not match the watches features and composition; It is discontinued by the manufacturer. What’s so hot about it? Well, it is all titanium case and bracelet with a sapphire crystal. The bezel rotates for direction plotting. Not only does it have a chrono and second time zone, but the sub-dials are fly-back. That’s a shitload of product for only $280. Dad will be amazed!
But, perhaps you don’t have a large budget for dad or grad this year. And perhaps you think the guy would like a watch that’s similar to the TX products (above). Well, the TX look and feel is the inspiration of the Timex Intelligent Quartz series and there are deals to be had. Below are a couple of examples of IQ that are being promoted at lower prices. Check on-line (amazon.com in particular) for the latest hot deals – at least 25% off, and some for as much as 50% off list price.
Alternatively, Dad, if he doesn’t already have one, will welcome a Kindle Fire, a 50cc Scooter, or a 3D BluRay player.
